Arriving from mexico city [cdmx]
Mexico City (CDMX) is WONDERFUL. So if you are flying into CDMX and debating spending extra days there, we could not recommend it enough. We even prepared a handy Google Map [here] of all the places we enjoyed while visiting.
Getting from CDMX to San Miguel de Allende (SMA) is VERY easy. See below for some recommended options.
(1) Take the bus to San Miguel de Allende:
Taking a bus around Mexico is SUPER EASY. We recommend taking an ETN Turistar bus from the México Norte, Ciudad de México Station to San Miguel de Allende, GTO.
NOTE: You will need to go through a security checkpoint (just like a TSA) before you can get on the bus.
(2) Schedule a private shuttle to San Miguel de Allende:
If you’re in a larger party, you can book a private shuttle to take you from CDMX direct to San Miguel de Allende from BaijoGo.
Arriving in Querétaro Intercontinental Airport (QRO)
Flying Direct?
Querétaro Intercontinental Airport(QRO)is the closest direct flight to San Miguel de Allende (approximately 1.5 to 2 hours away).
If you’re arriving at QRO, we recommend booking a shuttle from BaijoGo to San Miguel de Allende to take you directly to your hotel stay.
Getting Around SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE
San Miguel de Allende is a walkable city, but when you need a car to get around, we recommend taking a cab (they’re usually green or white) to your destination. Please pay the driver in pesos and leave a tip.
